Kachchi Moodoor Welfare Trust - Stipend distributed

Temples in India with their various modes of worship have been the focal points of our unique spiritual and cultural heritage. In recent times, due to various reasons, most of the Temples have been deprived of their sustenance leading in its turn to penury of Archakas and their inability to perform their duties properly and regularly. It is to provide succour to deserving Archakas that Kachchi Moodoor Archakas Welfare Trust was established in 1986, by Maha Swamigal. This Trust started assisting five Archakas with Rs. 100/- per month from June 1987.

Presently, the Trust helps in all 337 Archakas - 87 Bhattacharyas + 111 Shivacharyas + 139 Poojaries with a monthly stipend, in addition to providing a LIC Group Insurance coverage of Rs.10,000/- to each of the eligible beneficiaries. Recently, this year's stipends were distributed at a programme held at Srimatam, Kanchipuram.
